Why are you running for a position on the Hartland School Board?

My family benefitted greatly from this district in the form of three successful graduates, and I aim to give back to the community that helped make that success possible.
I am running for a two-year position on the Hartland School Board, in part because of the critical timing of hiring a new Superintendent.
If elected for this two-year position, I view it as an opportunity to elevate cooperation and increase focus on the issues that fundamentally matter within our community.

How do you plan to enhance community collaboration?

I believe in an approach that:

Strengthens the connection between administration, teachers, families, and the school board to ensure every student's success.
Listens to key stakeholders and gathers as much data as possible prior to making decisions or setting policy.
Keeps in mind the vital importance of community voices during Hartland's search for a new Superintendent.

What is your experience in local education?

I will bring a proven track record of stability and growth to the Hartland School Board, as:

I am the product of a local public school and the proud parent of three Hartland graduates.
I've spent the last 20 years volunteering through HAYAA, the band programs, and my church congregation.
My skills combine decades of experience in corporate engineering, capital planning, and company/union management.

How will you ensure financial transparency?

I will prioritize open communication and regular reporting to ensure that each dollar spent in Hartland is used efficiently and effectively for our students.
